Policies
When you book at Valentine Lakeside, you agree to the following:
HOUSE RULES
· Each cabin, suite and house has a Base Rate and Maximum Occupancy clearly stated. The RV Park Base rate is for 4 guests, with a maximum of 6. There is a $15 charge for extra guests above the Base Rate in rooms, $10 in RV Park. Day guests are limited to two per reservation and are $15/person/day in rooms, $10 in RV Park Violations of Maximum Occupancy and Day Guest limits are subject to immediate eviction without refund.
· Minimum age requirement of primary renter is 25
· Parties/events above Maximum Occupancy and Day Guest limits must be approved in writing in advance
· Up to two dogs under 100 pounds allowed in specific cabins and suites and in RV park with advance notice, fees apply. No other pets in rooms.
· Suitable for children
· No indoor smoking or vaping allowed.
. Payments made by credit or debit card will be assessed a 2.5% processing fee. Avoid the fee by paying with cash or check.
PROCESSES
Check In – Check-in is at or after 3pm for rooms, noon for RV spots. Early check-in ONLY WITH PRIOR APPROVAL and additional charges of $20 per hour. We have a virtual check-in process -- please go directly to your room, where you’ll find keys. If you are in the RV park, go directly to your RV site through the RV entrance at 840 Euel Moore Drive -- NOT the main entrance to the resort. Full payment is required at check-in and can be paid by cash, check ($30 NSF fee) or credit card. WE WILL CHARGE THE CARD ON FILE at 10am on check-in day unless you tell us in advance you want to pay another way. Incidentals will be charged at check-out.
Check-out: Check-out is no later than 11am for rooms, noon for RV spots. Late check-out ONLY WITH PRIOR APPROVAL and additional charges of $20 per hour. At check-out time please:
· Wash dishes (It’s OK to leave them drying in the drying rack)
· Take trash to dumpster (Extra bags are in the Customer Coop)
· Place all used towels in bathroom (On the floor is great)
· Bring your keys to the office (Key Drop Box is outside the office)
POLICIES
Deposits – Deposit of first night’s stay plus tax is due at booking.
Cancellations - Refunds (minus $50 service fee) made up to 30 days prior to stay. No refunds for cancellations 30 to 7 days prior. Cancellations within 7 days of stay will be charged entire stay. No bad weather refunds.

Cleaning fees – An additional cleaning fee is assessed for each stay.
Safety first - Campfires only in fire ring. No fireworks on property at any time. No candles. Each cabin has smoke alarms and a fire extinguisher.
Smoking - Smoking and vaping outdoors only. Please dispose of cigarette butts safely in provided containers, not on the ground or in the lake. If anyone smokes or vapes indoors you will be charged a $250 cleaning fee.
Pets - Dogs under 100 pounds allowed in units 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14, 18, 20 and 21 (list subject to change). There is a non-refundable fee of $50 for one dog, $85 for two. If a pet of any kind is allowed in a non-pet room you will be charged a $250 cleaning fee. RV Camp guests allowed up to two dogs for a fee of $20 per visit. Pets must be leashed at all times and you must pick up after them. Please note you are bringing a dog when making a reservation. Outdoor dog poop cleanup fee is $50 if we do it, free if you do it.
Excessive cleaning - An additional cleaning fee of up to $250 will be applied to units requiring excessive cleaning.
Keys and Remotes - There will be a $25 charge for lost keys, a $100 charge for lost AC remotes (where provided) and a $25 charge for lost TV remotes.
Parking - Each room has one designated parking spot. Park extra vehicles in the designated lots. Park boat trailers in the field by the road. No parking in roadways or on the grass at any time. RV guests must park all tow and extra vehicles in the general parking area by the sheds, not in the RV camp. Rooms and suites are allowed two vehicles. Houses (17 and 18) are allowed three. An additional $10/night fee will be charged for parking extra vehicles and prior approval is required.
Boats, Jetskis and Trailers – If you rent a boatlift, you may use the launch and trailer-parking area at no additional charge. If you bring a boat or jetski but do NOT rent a boatlift, an additional $20/day fee applies and prior approval is required. NO golf carts or ATVs allowed on property (other than owner’s).
Sprinklers - Be aware that sprinklers may come on from midnight to 7am. Belongings left outside may get wet.
Noise - Quiet Time is 10pm to 8am. Please avoid excessive noise at all times.
Plumbing – Valentine Lakeside is on a septic system. Please don’t put grease or food down the pipes. Please don't flush diapers, diaper wipes, feminine products or “flushable” wipes. Potential damage fees may apply if prohibited items cause plumbing issues.
Monthly and annual rates – Inquire about monthly and annual rates for rooms, suites, houses, RV spots and boat lifts.
GUEST CONSENT
By booking a room or RV spot at Valentine Lakeside, I agree to the above-referenced House Rules, Processes and Policies and consent to the following:
· I understand that during my stay at Valentine, I may be exposed to a variety of hazards and risks, which are inherent in boating, canoeing, swimming, hiking, campfires and other various activities I may participate in here at Valentine Lakeside.
· I know that injuries and damages can occur by natural causes or activities of other persons, animals, or third parties, either as a result of negligence or because of other reasons. I understand that risks of such injuries and damages are involved in indoor or outdoor activities, and I appreciate that I may have to exercise extra care for my own person and for others around me.
· To the fullest extent allowed by law, I agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY Valentine Lakeside LLC, its owners, directors, employees, and agents, and from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries and damages, even if caused by negligence of Valentine Lakeside LLC its owners, directors, employees, and agents, and in any way connected with this place. I further agree to HOLD HARMLESS Valentine Lakeside LLC, its owners, directors, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by my own negligence while I am on property. I understand and intend that this assumption of risk and release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and includes any minors accompanying me at Valentine Lakeside LLC.
· I accept responsibility for any damages that occur by actions of my party while at Valentine Lakeside. I agree to notify the owners if something is broken during our stay and to take care of the property. Cabins are inventoried each cleaning and any items damaged or stolen will be charged to the guest’s credit card unless it was broken or damaged under normal use. I understand that I will be held personally liable in the event that any or all of the monies due for this stay are not paid, and that I will be responsible for any loss or damages to the premises or contents of the property made by me or anyone in my party.
· I understand that the property is privately owned and that the management has the right to refuse service to anyone at any time and the property will not be held responsible for injury or accidents to guests, or loss of money, jewelry or personal items of any kind.
· I agree to allow photos and videos taken in common areas to be used on the Valentine Lakeside marketing materials, website and social media pages.
· I have read this document in its entirety and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks.
